FOTD-FOTN:RUBY WOO-REBEL

I decided just to post some quick pics I took recently showing my day to night look with the lovely matte Ruby Woo and sparkly Rebel both from Mac . I used the palettes-Sleek Storm for day time and Sleek Sparkle for night.

Hope you like this look!

SLEEK MAKEUP COLLECTION

SLEEK SUNSET PALETTE LOOK:

Here is the look I tried for this video.
Its basically a glowy nude look I created with the Sleek Sunset Palette on my eye lids, Sleek Pink Spritz on my Cheeks and my Revlon 117 on my lips.

I was trying to achieve a simple laid back look.

On my eyelids I mixed a variety of colours to create a sort of transient greenish effect.

Hope you like it and have a lovely week!

FOTN: MIDNIGHT BLUE

Hey Everyone,

I decided to do another FOTN post. For this look, I used my Sleek Sparkle and Storm Pallettes for the eyes, Sleek Blush by Flame on the cheeks and Ruby Woo with a hint of Up The Amp both MAC products on the lips.

I decided to create loose curls using a curling wand. Here is a picture of the hair before it was brushed out.

And one after.

I like both looks but I do prefer when its brushed out. Just because it looks a lot more natural in my opinion.

I hope you like this post!

Have a nice weekend!

CHRISTMAS FLUSH #1

Hey Everyone,

For the next few posts on beauty, I would try and focus on more colourful inspirations for this festive season.

RUBY RED.
Here I decided to leave my trusted Revlon 117 and try out the Ruby Woo by Mac to achieve a more daring day time look. On my cheeks I used Peach by Sleek as I did not want too much colour on my face. And on my eyelids, I have on the Sleek Sunset Pallette.

Hope you like the look!

PINK FUSION.

For this look I basically used the Sleek Blush by 3 Flame Pallette and the Sleek Blush by 3 Pink Spritz Pallette. I wanted to try just adding a fusion of colour to my whole face. Its been an interesting experiment as the blushes are obviously not as pigmented as the eyeshadow pallette's but I love the colour tones.On my lips I have on Mac's Up The Amp which is a great deep pink colour to apply during day
and night.

NEW AFROBEATS

Hey Guys!

Here are some new videos on the Nigerian scene that I have been listening to. Enjoy!

ICY NUDE

Hey Guys!

Here is another makeup look I have come up with. I used my Sleek Storm Pallette solely to create this look. Its a mixture of the colours black with some icy shades of cranberry. I wanted to take a different approach to the basic smokey eye.
This look is very simple to achieve. I firstly applied black all over my lids, and then added a cranberry shade on top to give an icy effect.

 On my lips I have on my Revlon 117 but any lip colour would work with this look. On my cheeks I have on Sleek's Blush in Peach. I would be doing video tutorials soon! College takes up a lot of time so I only have time for some quick looks.

Hope you enjoyed this one!

SWEET AFRO BEATS

Hey Guys!

This is another post on naija beats! Today, I decided to share some of my favourite slow paced and rhythmical beats with you all! Its basically a combination of old and new songs from various artists I appreciate in the industry. Enjoy!

FOTN: SPARKLE

Hey Guys!

So I finally did a FOTN post and I might be doing some more; anyways, this look was taken in a hurry as I was getting dressed for an actual event;

I decided to theme it sparkle cause of the brightness lol. Its a mixture of my aptly named Sparkle Sleek Pallette which is my go to eyeshadow pallette for an evening out; I also decided to pop in a pic of my newly acquired Blush by 3-Pink Spritz-from Sleek which is a gorgeous mix of 'pinks' from bright to subtly glowing;
On my lips I have Candy Yum Yum mixed with a Barry M Red Lip Pencil. Hope you like it!
Pink Spritz-Sleek.

FOTD: PINK FLUSH

Hey Everyone!

Hope you had a lovely weekend! This is just a quick post on a look I experimented with recently. Its mainly an incorporation of colours such as pink being the principal colour used, blue, orange and a hint of black.

I decided to try something different by making my face more flushed with colours. Hope you like it.

FOTD's: FALL/WINTER

Hey Everyone!

Here are some looks I have tried out for the fall/winter season; in the first, I was just playing around with some colour on my lids with my lovely and trustworthy Sleek Storm Pallette and also used some of Sleek's Pink Spritz Blush By 3 pallette on my cheeks!
And my indispensable Revlon 117 on my lips; I will take time out to do a review on some of my products soon enough but hope you like the look!

Secondly, I was going for a more vampy look here and decided to toy around once more with the Sleek Sunset Pallette to create some cranberry eyes; and on my cheeks I have on Sleek's Blush by 3 Flame Pallette which is a sort of mixture of light to dark red colours that suit day or night time. On my lips I decided to try on Mac's Rebel Lipstick which is a really nice dark rich red colour that also can be worn during day/night.

AFROBEATS

Hey Everyone!

So there's been a lot of new videos going round and I might be doing some looks kind of inspired by these videos but anyways here are some of the tunes currently making their way round! Hope you enjoy it!

SIMPLE MAKEUP LOOKS

Hey Guys!

I've been really busy hence the slowness in posting and I'm trying to improve the lighting situation which in itself is a challenge *sigh* Anyways I decided to do a post on some looks that are sort of afrobeats inspired but wearable during the day; I do apologise for the lighting but I am working on that like I said and it should be getting better soon.

This look is basically just a nude smokey eye which is one of my favourite makeup looks to wear just cause of the toned down drama of the look; But you can switch it up with a red lip as I did here also if you want to go full out;

 However, I decided to keep the rest of my face relatively neutral in terms of my use of blush and contouring as I feel like the eyes and the lips should not be too overpowered by much more makeup around the face.

Hope you like it!

Hey Everyone!

Hope you all are having a nice and fruitful week :) I decided to post another naija playlist just because..lol. Anyways, there has been a lot of new videos hitting the scene lately and before I fall behind I thought I best get to it and share some more of my afrobeats love with you all!
As for my makeup posts, I will be really busy for a while so there will be less of those for now but in the meanwhile before I find time to post any of those, there will be a lot of music and arts posts going up so do keep checking this blog out!
Have a lovely week :)

AFROBEATS INSPIRED: KHONA

Hey Everyone!

So once in a while I will be doing an afrobeats inspired makeup look! And like I said I might dabble into FOTN's as well. Now, today I chose to focus on the music video-Khona. I love this video so much because it is very much African in every way-the sounds, the clothing and the display of culture.

Khona is a music video rich with African creativity and culture.
It inspired this makeup look.

I basically used a lot of vibrant tones to reflect the different colours that were ever present in the video such as green, red, brown, blue and so on. I enjoyed creating this look immensely!

I will be doing a lot more posts like this!
Have a nice day!

AFROBEATS FEATURE: WIZKID

Hey guys hope everyone is having a blessed week!
Well as I’m sure is obvious by now I am a fan of afrobeats. And its not just the music in itself- its the mix of creativity, urban sounds and culture. I find it very soothing and entertaining to listen to some of the emerging and popular afrobeats artists of today such as Iyanya, Blackmagic, Davido etc;
But for this post I decided to do something close to a feature on Wizkid.
Now I think Wizkid is one of the perfect embodiments of the emerging afro beats culture-young, talented and diverse. His songs have a youthful vibe to them and are nothing short of catchy; he also manages to mix a lot of sounds together to create something different each and every time.
He stays relevant with his different beats managing not to fall into the pothole of conformity but instead trying and succeeding at creating new tunes.

I appreciate the fact that he has a talent that is raw but refined; but mostly, I love the fact that you can hear the growth of this artist in each of his tracks as no two are exactly alike; his desire to experiment with music and to grow as an artist are obvious from his songs which always manage to hit the mark in showing a different side of his talent.
Anyways, I thought I would share some of my favourite tracks from this artist; and as always... enjoy!

DAYTIME SMOKEY NUDE

Hope everyone is having a blessed Sunday :)

Like I said I will be posting a lot of FOTD pictures and I am also currently debating FOTN as well. I'm enjoying using the Sleek Storm Pallette which I decided to try for this look; and I believe it worked beautifully in helping to recreate the muted smokey eyes I was going for; I also used my trusted Revlon 117 Nearly Nude Lipstick on my lips which I think works well in downplaying the intensity of any makeup look; I was trying to achieve a day time easy to wear glowy smokey eye and I'm pleased with this look; Its easy, quick and does not need much effort.
On my face I started mixing concealer, foundation and Sleek's Blemish Balm to give me a sort of subtle glow. I will be doing a video/blog post on my favourite makeup tools. At some point, I will also be doing a video/blog post on my hair care routine and how I create loose curls.

I hope you all enjoyed this post!

Here are some new afro beats videos on the scene and have  a blessed Sunday!

FOTD

Hey Guys!

Hope everyone had a lovely blessed week and T.G.I.F! I decided to share a quick look of mine with you all! And yes I've gone back to my weaves lol  I guess I could not keep away for very long but I do still love braids I must say. Anyways, before I go off point, this FOTD was just me playing with my pallette as usual. I've been trying to experiment with different looks to see what would work best for fall. I have to say I have been loving my Sleek Sunset Pallette a lot lately. Its just got the right warm mix of colours to create a fall sort of look! On my lips I have on Mac's Up The Amp which is a sort of matte pinkish rose colour. I just think it works well both day and night and can be toned down or amped up really. I will be doing a review soon of my sleek products cause I have become a big lover of their eyeshadow pallettes! And also, there will be a lot more FOTD as I have little to no time to do much else but I will be posting on my youtube channel more often :) See you all soon and have a lovely weekend!

PURPLE EYES/ NUDE LIPS

Hey Everyone!

Just decided to do a quick post on my neutral lips/purple eyeshadow. I thought it would be interesting to try and wear some bold eyeshadow colours for the day that are usually reserved for a night out. Anyways, here is what I came up with minus fake eyelashes just to add to the toned down feel of the look. But, with fake eyelashes it would look just as good if not better. But I decided to tone it down for some day time college go to make up look. I also played around with a bit of black to give it a sort of smokey effect. I think its always a good idea to play with different pallettes to try and make each look wearable and unique. This time I worked with my Urban Decay Pallette purely to create this look and a bit of MAC eyeshadow just for the tear duct area. Now I've said this before on my youtube videos but I think urban decay is one of the best makeup brands for eyeshadows and it is also somewhat affordable-around €30 in Ireland-but there is always the option to try out sleek pallettes which round up to about a tener here in Dublin;
however, the richness and pigmentation of Urban Decay products make them worth the investment. Anyways hope you all like this look! And please do check out my youtube channel as I would be posting up some videos really soon and on that note here is a new video by Davido for the very successful 'Skelewu' to pay homage to my recent afrobeats obsession as I'm sure is clear from my blog posts these past few days!
 Enjoy! x
